When you invest in bespoke craftsmanship, quality should never be limited by location.

At Anglia Kitchens & Bedrooms, we are proud to be a family-run Norfolk business specialising in beautifully crafted kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and bespoke cabinetry, designed with care and tailored around the way our clients live. While our roots are firmly in East Anglia, our expertise extends wherever our clients need us.

Recently, a Norfolk-based client invited us to design and install a handcrafted kitchen within their second home in Scotland; a beautiful property set close to a peaceful sea loch, surrounded by dramatic landscapes and views that deserved a space equally considered and beautifully crafted.

Choosing to continue their journey with a team they already knew and trusted, the brief was simple; create a kitchen that felt timeless, sophisticated and completely at home within its surroundings.

Local Craftsmanship; Thoughtfully Delivered Beyond Norfolk

For a project of this importance, Robert Brown, our Managing Director and Matt Brown, our Operations Director, personally travelled to Scotland to oversee the installation and ensure every detail was delivered to the highest standard.

Their direct involvement reflects the approach that sits at the heart of Anglia Kitchens & Bedrooms; a personal commitment to craftsmanship, quality and exceptional service. Every element of this kitchen was designed around both practicality and understated luxury.

The design featured a modern flat-door range combining rich natural walnut with beautifully painted cabinetry finished in Farrow & Ball French Grey, creating warmth, texture and contrast throughout the space. Brushed nickel Hendel & Hendel Aspen handles introduced subtle detailing, while Calacatta Olympos quartz work surfaces brought elegant veining and a refined finish.

The cabinetry itself was entirely tailored around the client’s lifestyle, incorporating:

• Bespoke drawer configurations with dedicated spice storage, cutlery organisation and plate dividers
• Integrated wine cooling
• Twin larder cabinets
• Integrated refrigeration and freezer housing
• Bespoke oven housing
• A handcrafted pocket-door larder with veneered internals, integrated drawers and internal lighting
• Carefully considered waste storage and functional cabinetry solutions

Designed to sit quietly within the space rather than dominate it, the kitchen balances practical everyday living with a luxurious and considered aesthetic.

Partnering With Businesses That Share Our Values

For this project, Anglia Kitchens & Bedrooms worked alongside trusted Norfolk businesses that share the same commitment to quality, attention to detail and exceptional service.

Ollands, the specialist removals and logistics company based in Stratton Strawless, played an important role in supporting the transportation elements of the project. Their reputation for professionalism and care ensured items were handled and delivered with the same level of attention expected throughout the wider installation process.

We also partnered with Design Stone Works, based within Norwich’s Airport Industrial Estate, who supplied the beautifully crafted stone work surfaces for the project. The Calacatta Olympos quartz surfaces introduced elegant veining and refined detailing, complementing the warmth of the walnut cabinetry and soft painted finishes throughout the kitchen.

Projects of this nature are often shaped by trusted partnerships; bringing together skilled local businesses with a shared passion for craftsmanship and quality. It demonstrates that even when a project takes us beyond Norfolk, we continue to bring the very best of Norfolk expertise with us.

Exceptional Appliances; Integrated Beautifully

To complement the handcrafted cabinetry, the project incorporated a carefully selected suite of premium appliances, seamlessly integrated throughout the design.

Highlights included:

• Twin Neff ovens with warming drawers
• Bora Classic induction hob with integrated extraction
• Integrated Neff fridge and freezer
• Neff wine cooler
• Fully integrated dishwasher
Franke Mythos stainless steel sink and accessories
• Franke tap in stainless steel finish

The result is a kitchen that feels beautifully effortless; where functionality and design work together naturally.

Why Clients Continue Their Journey With Us

Creating a beautiful room is only part of the process.

Many of our clients return to us because of the experience itself; the reassurance of working with a team that understands their preferences, values the finer details and takes genuine pride in creating something unique.

Having already transformed their Norfolk home, this client knew they could expect the same thoughtful approach and uncompromising quality for their second property.

Trust is built through consistency, through craftsmanship, and through taking the time to get every detail right.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Anglia Kitchens & Bedrooms work outside Norfolk?

Yes. While our showroom is based in Norfolk, we regularly work with clients on projects further afield across East Anglia and the UK. Many of our clients return to us for additional homes or second properties because they value continuity, trust and a team that already understands their preferences and lifestyle.

Can you design kitchens for holiday homes or second properties?

Absolutely. Whether it is a holiday retreat, coastal property or second residence, we create spaces that feel considered and beautifully tailored to the way the home will be used. We understand that second homes often require a balance of practicality, comfort and understated luxury.

What makes a bespoke kitchen different from a standard fitted kitchen?

A bespoke kitchen is designed around your home rather than asking your home to fit around standard cabinet sizes. Every detail can be tailored; from internal storage solutions and cabinetry layouts to finishes, materials and appliances; resulting in a space that feels entirely personal.

Can bespoke cabinetry work in unusual spaces or architectural layouts?

Yes. One of the greatest benefits of bespoke cabinetry is flexibility. Period properties, character homes and unusual layouts often present opportunities for thoughtful design. We can create solutions that maximise both functionality and aesthetics while complementing the character of the property.

What materials and finishes were used within this Scotland kitchen project?

This project combined rich natural walnut cabinetry with Farrow & Ball French Grey 10%, creating warmth and contrast throughout the space. Calacatta Olympos quartz work surfaces and brushed nickel detailing introduced a refined finish, while premium Neff, Bora and Franke appliances were seamlessly integrated into the overall design.

Do you offer a design consultation before a project begins?

Yes. Every project begins with a complimentary Design Studio Session, allowing us to understand your ideas, your lifestyle and how you want your home to feel. Clients often bring floor plans, inspiration imagery, samples and ideas, helping us shape a space that is entirely tailored to them.
